In order to keep your ActiveKEY operating efficiently it is imperative that you charge the ActiveKEY at the end of each day. This can be accomplished by plugging in the ActiveKEY at the end of each day and unplugging it in the morning before leaving your home.
If the ActiveKEY’s battery dies it may need to be reprogrammed by one of CCAR’s Member and Technical Service Representatives.
Keeping your eKEY App updated is essential in order to access properties
Each morning, before leaving your home, go to the home screen of your smartphone and select the eKEY App. The App will automatically update when selected.
By not updating each morning you will not be able to access properties.
If the area where the property is located does not have a sufficient data signal to update the key, you will not be able to open the lockbox.
The best practice is to update your eKEY App each morning, before leaving your home.
